At Dinh Vu industrial zone, the city’s fire fighting and prevention police collaborated with relevant units to hold a fire fighting, rescue and chemical incident handling drill at the Northern Chemical Joint Stock Company.
The hypothetic situation was that a fire occurred during the import-export process at B3 tank which contained toxic chemicals, including Methanol. When it happened, on-the-spot forces gave timely alarm to the entire area and informed the city’s fire fighting and prevention police to operate fire and chemical fighting and rescue. Receiving fire alarm and being aware of the danger of the fire, the fire fighting and prevention police force immediately informed relevant forces and mobilized nearby forces, utilized 6 fire trucks and rescue vehicles to approach burnt area, fight the fire and save human and properties.
With high responsibility and close collaboration, after 20 minutes, forces stamped out the fire, secured safety for the company’s staff and properties. The drill had practical significance not only for the Northern chemical joint stock company but also local businesses, making them more proactive in preventing and ready when fires occur./.
