Mao Dien literature temple, Tue Tinh worshipping complex proposed to be special national relics

Specialized bodies have been required to actively compile and strive to complete a dossier by the end of the year to request approval from the National Cultural Heritage Council.


Cam Giang district authorities have advocated the building of Mao Dien Temple of Literature and a relic complex worshipping Great Physician Tue Tinh (Bia temple, Xua pagoda, and Giam pagoda) into special national relics.

The District People's Committee has required specialized divisions and boards to actively compile and strive to complete a dossier by the end of the year to request approval from the National Cultural Heritage Council.

In the coming time, the district authorities will focus on enlarging the precinct of Mao Dien Temple of Literature, restoring the prefectural examination compound in Hai Duong to turn the site into one of the largest learning encouragement addresses in the North, preserving the cultural beauty of the Writing Ceremony, etc.; step up propaganda and promotion of the cultural and historical value of the relic complex worshipping Great Physician Tue Tinh; etc.

Since 2015, over VND18 billion has been invested in Mao Dien Temple of Literature to enlarge the precinct by more than 1 ha, the approach, the parking lot, and trees.

The relic complex worshipping Great Physician Tue Tinh is being renovated with a total budget of nearly VND30 billion socialized and taken from the State budget.

Mao Dien Temple of Literature and the relic complex worshipping Great Physician Tue Tinh have been recognized as national historical relics.
